What it does
Mullvad Browser is a free browser developed with the Tor Project to reduce tracking and fingerprint differences, with uBlock Origin and private sessions by default.
Mullvad Browser focuses on making users look similar to websites. Its official page explains that adding more tracking countermeasures can itself make a browser distinctive, so its approach is a coordinated set of settings rather than an invitation to install every privacy extension. uBlock Origin and default private sessions form part of that setup.
The browser is free whether or not you use Mullvad VPN. It addresses browser tracking, while the VPN addresses the network route. Installing the browser does not also supply a VPN exit service or Tor routing.
