What it does

MultiPing tracks packet loss and latency across multiple targets, with time graphs, alerts, discovery and IPv6 support.

Keep several targets on MultiPing’s graphs when a connection problem appears only occasionally. The timeline can be focused on the affected period, and alerts can email, log, play a sound or launch a configured action. It can follow changing DNS addresses and combine IPv4 and IPv6 targets. The observations come from the monitoring computer’s selected target probes; they do not by themselves establish that a website or application is working. The licensing manual specifies thirty days of full trial features, followed by restrictions including alerts until a license is applied. Check that dated manual against the chosen download.

Strengths

  • Multiple target graphs and configurable alerts
  • Follows changing DNS addresses

Best for
