What it does

MuseScore Studio is free, open-source desktop notation software with MIDI keyboard input and MusicXML/MIDI interchange.

Write and revise a score on your computer, with MIDI keyboard input or interchange through MusicXML and MIDI. MuseScore Studio is the local editor; online score sharing has its own service and terms.

MuseHub distributes Studio and MuseSounds, and the download page also provides installers without MuseHub. Check the Studio and MuseHub requirements separately, especially on macOS. Sound libraries need substantially more disk space than the editor itself. Windows, macOS and Linux packages are listed.
