What it does
Music Player Daemon plays audio files while separate network clients provide the controls.
Install the daemon on the machine that will play the audio, configure its music directory and database, and select the audio output appropriate to that machine. A separate network client provides browsing and queue controls.
Check the installed decoder and output plugins against your files and hardware. Distribution defaults may point at a different library folder; the daemon alone does not provide a finished graphical player.
