What it does
MXToolbox lists a domain's MX records in priority order and links mail-server diagnostics, reverse-DNS checks and blocklist lookups.
Enter the domain to list its MX records in priority order. MXToolbox says this lookup queries the authoritative nameserver, which answers a different question from a client’s cached resolver response. The linked Diagnostics action connects to the mail server for reverse-DNS, open-relay and response-time checks; blocklist lookups are another separate action. Choose the check that matches the mail problem and interpret the returned sample accordingly. A correct MX listing alone does not establish that messages will be delivered, and a diagnostic connection is an active interaction with the selected server.
