What it does
MyScript Notes, formerly Nebo, is a handwriting-first notes app that also supports typing, sketching, and PDF annotation. Its help center covers notebooks, folders and collections, handwriting conversion, internal and web links, search, and export. That makes it useful for handwritten class or research notes that need to become editable text or be shared in another format.
Start with a notebook for one course or project and make a separate note for each topic. MyScript's guide covers folders and collections, while its product page explains that handwritten content can be converted to typed text and searched. A reader could draft equations or sketches in the same notebook, then convert selected handwriting when preparing a typed summary.
The help center also has an export-and-share guide, so check its supported destinations before using MyScript Notes as the only copy of a research collection. The product is now named MyScript Notes, with Nebo identified as its previous name. I did not test recognition accuracy, export round trips, cloud sync, or the app's optional AI features.
Strengths
- The app combines handwriting, typed text, sketches, and PDF annotation.
- The guide documents folders and collections, search, handwriting conversion, and export/share.
- The vendor describes handwriting gestures for editing written content.
Best for
- Converting handwritten lecture notes into editable text
- Organizing notes and sketches in folders for later search and export
