What it does
Prism Video Converter changes video formats and provides compression, preview, trimming, splitting, and simple effects. A limited free non-commercial version is available.
Add files or an unprotected DVD, select output format/settings, preview and convert offline on Windows or Mac. Prism exposes codec, bitrate, resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio and target size, with trimming, captions, watermarks and colour effects. The free home/non-commercial version needs no signup but supports fewer encoders. Protected discs cannot be opened. Connected-service uploads and burning through the separate Express Burn application are optional routes.
