What it does
Newgrounds publishes community-made games alongside animation, audio and art. Readers can respond to creators through reviews and other community activity.
For game discovery, begin in the Games portal rather than the general feed, which mixes several media types. Newgrounds grew around Flash work and now accepts newer formats as well. The community’s reviews offer a way to discuss a project with its creator; they should be read as player feedback rather than a compatibility guarantee.
A free account adds favorites and a feed of artists you follow, which is useful for returning to a creator after a game jam. Reviewing submissions also requires membership. The Supporter upgrade removes ads; creating the account itself is free.
