What it does

The National Film Board of Canada offers films online, with dedicated routes for documentary, animation, Indigenous cinema and educational resources.

Browse by director or subject when researching Canadian filmmaking, or start with the dedicated Indigenous cinema selection. The site advertises free viewing, but its terms distinguish personal use, educational use and organised screenings. A film being watchable online is not itself permission to reuse or publicly screen it.

Evidence

Director/subject and Indigenous-cinema routes establish documented fit for Canadian-film research and viewing. The sources do not document enough viewing controls/setup for 75-79; rights restrictions do not add score points.

Limits: AI review of saved source passages. No hands-on test, human approval or automatic-provider checker receipt.

Unconfirmed details may be unassessed, absent from the pages checked or temporarily unreadable. A missing price does not mean the service is free.

Supporting pages for product usefulness, site facts, prices and separate website checks. Each record keeps its own date. Reading a page does not establish how well the product performs in use.
