What it does
NFTScan provides multichain NFT exploration, collection rankings, address profiles and portfolio views. Public research pages sit alongside developer APIs with usage-based credits and separately negotiated plans.
An address profile explains a holder's activity; a collection ranking compares the wider project. NFTScan offers both, with portfolio views for estimated value and realized or unrealized performance. Check the blockchain and contract when similarly named assets appear in more than one place.
Its valuation formulas deserve attention. The explorer FAQ describes collection market value as the average of the last fifty trades multiplied by the item count. A wallet's NFT estimate instead uses each collection's floor price. Neither calculation guarantees what a particular item will sell for, especially when traits or trading activity differ.
If a revealed NFT still shows old metadata, open its asset page and use the refresh control at the upper right, or submit its contract through Refresh Metadata for a collection refresh. A missing image can also result from an inaccessible image host or an unsupported contract format; refreshing does not necessarily repair either problem.
Public explorer pages are available without a developer account. API use requires registration and a key. Purchased credits cost 1 USDT per million compute units, with a US$199 minimum purchase, and unused purchased credits do not expire. Different endpoints consume different amounts. Custom monthly plans are also offered.
Developers can use the official JavaScript SDK to select a supported chain and query an account's assets or transactions. For paginated results, pass the returned next value as the following request's cursor. Reading only the first page can leave a holdings list incomplete.
Strengths
- Address profiles and collection rankings answer different research questions
- The official SDK explains cursor-based pagination for larger results
Watch out for
- Estimated NFT values do not guarantee a sale price for an individual item
- API credit purchases have a US$199 minimum
Best for
- NFT holders checking collection identity, activity and stale metadata
- Developers retrieving complete holdings or transaction lists for an address
