What it does
Scaniverse provides iOS site capture and cloud reconstruction for teams. Its newer organisation-based service combines scans, generates meshes and Gaussian splats, and manages assets on the web; Classic remains a separate on-device experience.
Create an account and organisation, add a named site, then record a scan in the iOS app. Stop, review and save it before uploading, keeping the app open during transfer. Once the scans have Passed status, choose Generate Assets, name the version and select the scans to combine. The confirmation shows the credit cost. View the completed asset under Assets and use the web app to download a mesh.
The new service has these advertised organisation plans, with applicable taxes extra:
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | USD 0 per month | No annual charge | 5 |
| Plus | USD 20 per month | USD 200 per year | 10 |
| Pro | USD 50 per month | USD 500 per year | 25 |
Free credits expire after one month; monthly paid-plan allotments last three months and annual-plan allotments last 12. Failed generation jobs return the credits charged. Processing 360-degree video into splats requires Plus or Pro and runs through the web app. Commercial use of new-service assets, including resale, requires Pro or Enterprise.
Classic can still process splats on the device, but its older scans cannot currently be imported into the new account. For business users, ownership of generated output is subject to Niantic's retained rights and a broad licence to use submitted material and output for service development and AI training.
Strengths
- Several scans can contribute to a versioned site asset.
- The generation confirmation shows the required credits before starting.
- A web dashboard handles asset downloads and organisation membership.
Watch out for
- Classic scans cannot be imported into the new account.
- Unused credits expire according to the plan's billing term.
- Commercial rights in the new service require Pro or Enterprise.
Best for
- Teams capturing shared sites for cloud reconstruction
- Organisations combining mobile scans and web asset management
