What it does
Nightly is a free multichain wallet for managing separate accounts, connecting applications and requesting cross-chain swaps. Mobile apps and browser extensions cover networks including Solana, Sui, Aptos, Bitcoin and supported Ethereum-compatible chains.
Nightly keeps several wallets within one interface, which is useful when accounts belong to different projects or blockchain networks. Those balances remain separate: an asset on one network cannot simply be spent as the similarly named asset on another.
For a conventional software wallet, choose Create New Wallet, set a local password and save the secret phrase. Google login is an alternative. Existing wallets can be imported with their private key or phrase. Nightly also offers an optional Google Drive backup under Settings, Security and Create backup; understand which recovery route you have chosen before changing devices.
The swap screen makes the route an explicit choice. In Nightly's Houdini integration, start on the outgoing network, open the two-arrow Swap control and enter the tokens and amount. Select Houdini from the available routes, inspect its fee, then use Review Swap and authorize the quoted transaction. After processing, check the receiving network's balance rather than expecting the outgoing account's balance to represent completion.
Nightly does not charge to download the wallet. That does not remove network or route-provider costs, and provider availability can vary. Compare the displayed route and receipt before authorizing a swap; conversion prices and delivery conditions can change.
A saved secret phrase can recover a forgotten local password. Without the phrase, password or a usable backup, Nightly cannot recreate the wallet. Connected applications and financial tokens also carry their own contract and price risks.
Strengths
- Ledger and Keystone can be used as hardware signing devices
- The iOS Safari extension connects mobile browser applications
- Portfolio widgets show holdings without opening the full wallet
Watch out for
- Recovery is unavailable when both local credentials and all usable backups are lost
- Cross-chain swaps require waiting for the selected provider to complete delivery
Best for
- People keeping separate Sui, Solana or Aptos accounts in one interface
- Mobile users who want browser connections alongside their wallet
