What it does
DNSQuerySniffer captures DNS requests and responses on Windows and exports timing, record and response-code details.
Run DNSQuerySniffer and choose the capture method and network adapter in Capture Options. It then lists visible DNS exchanges with query type, response code, timestamps and response duration; colors distinguish successful answers, DNS errors and missing responses. Stop capture before inspecting a busy interval, or export selected rows as CSV, tab-delimited text, XML or HTML. The utility is freeware for Windows. Its capture method matters: raw sockets may fail, and the guide offers WinPcap or Microsoft Network Monitor alternatives. A 64-bit Network Monitor installation requires the 64-bit utility. The list reflects DNS packets visible to that adapter and capture method.
