What it does

NetworkTrafficView captures adapter traffic and groups statistics by protocol, addresses and ports, with totals, rates and optional process information.

At first launch, select the capture method and adapter, then inspect the grouped traffic table. NetworkTrafficView accumulates packet counts, sizes, timing and rates by protocol, addresses and ports. Advanced Options can combine both directions into one row or keep them separate, which changes how the totals should be read. The freeware uses a supported capture driver, while its raw-socket alternative has documented Windows limitations. Improved TCP/UDP process tracing requires Administrator access and the Trace TCP/UDP Processes option. The result summarizes packets visible through the chosen adapter and method; it is different from an endpoint list or a full packet-dissection interface.
