What it does
WifiInfoView scans nearby wireless networks on Windows and displays signal, frequency, channel and access-point information with grouped summaries.
Run WifiInfoView to list nearby access points, then select one to inspect its information elements in hexadecimal. Summary modes group detected networks by channel, manufacturer, PHY type or advertised maximum speed. Router names and models appear only when the device advertises them. Selected access points can be exported as PCAP, with one beacon frame per selection for inspection in Wireshark; this is not a capture of all client traffic. The freeware needs a compatible Windows Wi-Fi adapter and driver, and the adapter must support the band you want to observe. On Windows 11 24H2, enable the documented location-access settings if scans report access denied.
