What it does

Wireless Network Watcher scans the connected local network and lists discovered devices with addresses, optional names, vendor information and export options.

Run the portable executable to scan the connected network, then check the IP, MAC, optional device-name and vendor fields. If the wrong adapter is selected, choose it manually in Advanced Options. Background Scan can watch for newly discovered devices, and the inventory exports to HTML, XML, CSV or text, or to the clipboard. This Windows freeware scans the Wi-Fi network you are connected to and can also handle a small wired network; it cannot inspect a different Wi-Fi network. Names depend on the device supplying them, and randomized MAC addresses or vendor-database age can limit identification. An unfamiliar label alone does not establish who owns a device.
