What it does

Nomentia connects banks and business systems for cash visibility, forecasting, payment allocation and corporate treasury work. Its modular suite lets a group select the functions it needs. Reconciliation and Cash Application link bank movements to accounting records, with pricing and implementation arranged through the company.

Nomentia's Smart Treasury Suite covers payments, cash positions, financing and related accounting. A group can add selected modules around its existing bank and business-system connections rather than adopt every treasury function at once.

Match bank movements to the books

Bank Account Reconciliation imports and enriches records, applies prioritized matching rules and prepares accounting postings. It can compare bank statements with open invoices, payment-processor settlements and marketplace transactions.

Rules can apply to a particular entity, process or incoming data set. They support one-to-one, one-to-many, bulk and partial matches, including tolerances for differences. Remittance details can be inspected row by row. If an automatic match is unsuitable, staff can review suggestions or match manually.

Completed reconciliations can produce posting files or book directly into the business accounting system. The history retains the matching decisions, rules and postings.

Allocate customer receipts

Cash Application focuses on incoming money. It compares references, amounts and customer details with unpaid invoices. Short payments and partial matches go to review; unmatched amounts remain visible as unapplied cash.

Authorized users can adjust matches, with the changes recorded. Approved results export to the accounting system, while reports show outstanding receivables and exception volumes. This module can operate independently or connect to the broader treasury process.

Set up the selected modules

Ask for a custom demonstration and price, then define the integration scope and timetable with Nomentia's consultants. Access uses individual users and permissions. The administration tools send a welcome email when a user is created and allow authenticator registration in My Settings.

For example, a group could start with incoming-payment allocation and bank reconciliation, then add cash forecasting once those flows are connected. The proposed modules and integrations determine the implementation work.

Strengths

  • Connects banks, business systems and treasury data
  • Uses matching rules scoped to entities, processes or incoming records
  • Keeps unmatched receipts visible until they are allocated

Watch out for

  • Partial receipt matches need review and approval
  • Implementation scope must cover the selected modules and bank or accounting connections

Best for

  • Corporate treasury teams connecting cash records across banks and entities
  • Receivables teams allocating customer receipts and investigating unapplied cash
