What it does
nopCommerce is a free, self-hosted ASP.NET Core ecommerce platform with a customizable catalog and checkout. It supports product and variant inventory, with a signed-in administration area. Hosting and optional paid extensions sit outside the free core.
In Catalog > Products, edit the product and open Inventory. Choose product-level tracking or tracking by product attributes. For multiple warehouses, Stock is the total quantity, Reserved covers orders not yet assigned to a shipment, and Planned covers assigned but unshipped quantities.
Set a minimum stock level and choose what happens below it: continue selling, disable the buy button or unpublish the product. The administrator email threshold is a separate setting. Backorder controls determine whether customers can buy after stock reaches zero.
The free core uses the nopCommerce Public License. Its additional terms require visible linked powered-by attribution on interface screens; a commercial license is also offered. Store administration requires an email-and-password login.
