What it does
Nouvelle Noire designs retail and bespoke typefaces for printed and digital media. Its site offers a type collection, custom services and trial fonts with distinct desktop and web licensing.
Nouvelle Noire’s collection ranges from families such as Arosa and Pivot Grotesk to Knit Grotesk’s dot and stripe designs. The catalog has editable headline, paragraph, alphabet and numeral views, plus feature switches that vary by family. Character coverage also varies, so use the family’s PDF sample to distinguish its Basic and Standard sets.
To get a free trial, add a family through the normal selection process and choose Trial License before checkout. Production use needs a paid licence. Desktop files are OpenType; self-hosted webfonts come in WOFF, WOFF2 and EOT, without monthly or annual subscription fees. Desktop size uses workstations, while the web option uses monthly visitors and a domain. Logos, brand marks, apps and several campaign uses require a separately quoted extension.
