What it does

Nuvei provides payment acceptance, local acquiring, payouts and routing tools for enterprises, platforms and marketplaces. Merchants can create payment links in its Control Panel, while Nuvei for Platforms handles seller balances and payout flows. Commercial terms and available services depend on the business, market and agreement.

Nuvei combines pay-ins, payouts, tokenization and routing, but a customer checkout and a seller payout still need separate configuration. Its acquiring coverage includes Slovenia among the listed local or direct acquiring markets; that coverage does not mean every business or payment method is automatically approved.

A payment link from the Control Panel

Open Operations, then Paylink, and choose the merchant site. The QR Link route lets you select an existing customer identifier or add a new one, enter the payment details and generate a QR code and URL. You can set a limited validity period or leave the link available indefinitely. The customer supplies payment details on the linked page, and Nuvei sends an approval or decline notification.

Optional open-amount and instalment links require activation by Nuvei. Instalment links are limited to Latin America.

Contract rates and marketplace onboarding

Nuvei's pricing is contractual. For alternative payment methods, a user with the Commercial role can open Settings, then APM Pricing Management, to review commissions and processing fees, approve or decline proposed rates and export a report to Excel or PDF. Only Nuvei Support can assign that role. The report distinguishes a commission from a processing fee per attempted payment, which matters when comparing costs.

Nuvei for Platforms has a separate onboarding process. Live use requires an agreement and business verification, including company ownership information, identity documents and a company bank statement. Its account structure separates the merchant, divisions and sellers. Seller bank accounts must be in the same region as the seller's residence, restricted countries are excluded, and non-euro payouts require the hosted onboarding flow.

Strengths

  • Combines pay-in and payout services
  • Paylink supports QR codes, URLs and configurable link validity
  • Commercial users can approve payment-method rates and export the pricing report

Watch out for

  • Instalment payment links are limited to Latin America
  • Nuvei for Platforms requires hosted onboarding for non-euro payouts

Best for

  • Platforms mapping customer payments to seller balances and payouts
  • Merchants needing payment links alongside a larger acquiring integration
