What it does
OAPEN provides discovery and access infrastructure for peer-reviewed open-access books, with subject, publisher, collection and language browsing.
Use a keyword search for a defined research question, or browse by subject when mapping a field. Language and publisher browsing provide more specific routes through the library. Keep the book's own bibliographic record rather than citing the library homepage as the source of an argument.
Open access establishes a reading route. Inspect the selected book’s licence separately before adapting or redistributing its text or illustrations.
