What it does
OBO Foundry organizes interoperable biological and biomedical ontologies with domain grouping, project descriptions and download routes.
Browse by domain when the challenge is choosing a suitable vocabulary for a dataset. The registry descriptions distinguish a disease ontology from an anatomy, phenotype or experimental-method vocabulary. Inspect the relevant project's status, including inactive or obsolete labels, and scope before adopting its terms for research notes or data annotation.
The registry can be exported, but the selected ontology’s own project, release and licence still determine how to use its terms.
