What it does
OBS Studio records video and streams live using scenes assembled from cameras, screens, browser sources, images and other inputs.
Build scenes around the actual programme: a main camera, a shared application, a title card and a break screen. Combine sources within each scene, then use Studio Mode to check the next composition before sending it live. Hotkeys can make scene changes, muting and recording controls easier to reach during a presentation.
The audio mixer supplies per-source gain, noise suppression and noise-gate filters rather than treating every input as one undifferentiated track. Multiview helps monitor several prepared scenes. OBS supplies the production and recording tools; the streaming destination, account access, content rights and network connection still need to be arranged for the event.
Strengths
- Scene switching and per-source audio filters support live production.
