What it does
ocserv is the OpenConnect VPN server, offering Linux remote access with TLS/DTLS and authentication integrations including RADIUS, OpenID Connect and Kerberos.
ocserv is aimed at the administrator running remote access. Its authentication module can begin with a password file or connect to an existing identity setup, including RADIUS, OpenID Connect, Kerberos and smart cards. The deployment recipes are the useful entry point for matching those choices to an organization.
The server also exposes user and connection management functions. It is a Linux server product rather than a consumer VPN network, and the client side must be configured separately. OpenConnect and ocserv are related by protocol but solve different sides of the connection.
