What it does

Off Message is Brian Beutler's English-language newsletter about politics and public debate. Its archive includes analytical essays and member discussion formats.

A developed essay is a better introduction than a short discussion thread. The publication's emphasis on argument makes it useful for readers who want to examine political strategy and competing positions. The About page offers a free Friday essay. Paid readers receive three longer editions a week, a video series, weekly question-and-answer chat and the complete archive.
