What it does
Okonomi Kitchen is Lisa's Japanese cooking publication. It combines traditional and modernized dishes with plant-forward ideas, rice-cooker recipes, sauces, bread and desserts. The current archive includes both vegan and animal-ingredient recipes.
Sauces are a useful first task when you want a component rather than a complete meal. Teriyaki sauce, okonomiyaki sauce and noodle-soup base can support later cooking. The rice-bowl and rice-cooker routes provide a more direct dinner option.
The archive's current scope is mixed: vegan curry and tofu dishes sit beside chicken, egg and pork preparations. That distinction matters if you know the site from older plant-based recipes. Baking includes Japanese-style bread and cakes as well as newer flavor combinations. Ingredient-focused collections, such as Japanese sweet potato, offer several ways to use the same food without repeating one preparation.
Strengths
- Sauce and noodle-base recipes provide reusable meal components.
- Rice-cooker and ingredient-focused collections offer practical entry points.
Best for
