What it does
Old School Value combines stock screening with discounted cash flow, reverse DCF and earnings-power valuation tools. It helps fundamental investors examine how growth and profitability assumptions affect estimated value. A lasting free plan provides summary views, while paid plans add deeper research and professional features.
A conventional discounted cash flow model starts with projected cash flows. Old School Value's reverse DCF instead starts with the current stock price and examines the growth implied by it. Comparing them makes the growth premise visible. The earnings-power model asks another question by excluding future growth.
In a DCF analysis, revenue growth, operating margins, capital spending, working capital and the discount rate all affect the estimate. Old School Value's guide walks through those inputs and shows how changing them changes the result. For example, comparing a lower-growth case with the original assumptions can show how much of a valuation depends on expansion. The output is a model estimate, rather than a price the market must reach.
The screener and ratings help organize companies for closer examination. Paid plans also offer portfolio tracking and research reports; Professional adds spreadsheet tools and data import or export for a more extensive workflow.
