What it does
Omio combines transport searches and ticket booking for trains, buses, flights and ferries. Its route guides cover journeys in Europe and selected destinations in other regions, organised by transport mode and country.
Investigate the transport mode before deciding that a journey must involve a flight. Omio groups rail, coach, air and ferry routes within the same service, so it is useful for researching trips that combine a city visit with a coastal or island stop.
A ferry route such as Dublin to Holyhead raises a different planning question from a city-to-city train. Follow the relevant route section and compare the departure points you actually need, rather than treating a city name as a single interchangeable terminal. The site provides timetable and ticket paths as well as destination guides. Its published examples describe routes offered through the service; they are a place to begin a date-specific search, not a promise that every operator or departure is covered.
After booking, use Your Bookings to see carrier policies and cancellation options. Omio says online cancellation requires a refundable fare or added Omio Flex, and displays the refund amount and cancellation fees before confirmation.
