What it does
Onion Browser is a no-fee iOS browser with per-site controls and Orbot or version-dependent in-app Tor routing, each with documented platform limits.
Onion Browser offers per-site controls and a Tor-aware browsing interface on iOS. Its FAQ links a Tor connection check and explains using bridges when a network blocks Tor. The app is free, with MIT terms for its source code and separate dependency, asset and trademark notices.
The routing choice is material. Version 3 uses Orbot to route device traffic; version 3.1 also offers in-app Tor on iOS 17. The FAQ warns that built-in Tor can expose the real IP through WebRTC and cannot tunnel audio or video streams because of WebKit limitations. Orbot covers device traffic but can restart when it reaches Apple's network-extension memory limit. Choose the route with those constraints in mind; this iOS app does not have the same engine or controls as desktop Tor Browser.
