What it does
OpenVPN Connect is the official client app for connecting to configured OpenVPN endpoints, including Access Server and CloudConnexa.
OpenVPN Connect's starting point is a connection profile. The official instructions describe importing an .ovpn file or using a server address or Cloud ID supplied by an IT team or VPN provider. After that, the connection switch activates the selected profile.
The client does not issue access credentials or create a VPN service by itself. That distinction is useful for a new employee who has been asked to install it: request the authorized profile through the organization's normal process. Current Windows documentation also describes pre-login connectivity for domain-joined devices.
