Opera includes ad and tracker blocking and DNS over HTTPS. Its Free VPN covers traffic inside the Opera browser, with no account or data cap; turn it on from the VPN badge by the address bar. Paid VPN Pro is a separate offer that routes other applications and allows up to six devices.

The browser also has optional data-sharing choices for improvement and monetization. Review those separately from the VPN setting. If the Free VPN fails to connect, Opera's guide points to local firewall or antivirus restrictions and trying another location.
