What it does

Optimizely Commerce offers Configured Commerce for B2B buying and Commerce Connect for more customized experiences. Configured Commerce provides company buying tools, catalog administration, and integration-led product management.

Configured Commerce usually receives products through an integration job. A manually added product may be overwritten at the next run, so agree where catalog changes belong before filling a gap in the admin console.

To add one, open Admin Console > Catalog > Products > Add Product. Enter Product Number, Product Title, URL Segment, Activation Date, and Basic List Price, then Save. Open Categories, select Assign Categories, choose Assign, and Save. A category must belong to the intended website for that product to appear there. Images can be selected after they have been uploaded to the Admin Console.

These steps apply to Configured Commerce. Optimizely also offers Commerce Connect for more customized buying and content experiences. New Configured Commerce instances use Opti ID, with the contract's technical contact receiving the initial administrator credentials. Staff permissions then follow their assigned roles.

Commercial access uses a subscription agreement with fees and usage volumes set in the order. Ask for the applicable usage measure, allowance, and overage charges alongside the implementation scope.
