What it does
Optimo sells retail and custom typefaces with detailed character, language and OpenType specifications. Desktop fonts use OpenType files, and self-hosted webfonts use WOFF and WOFF2. Trial fonts are delivered through an account for internal testing and pitches.
A family’s Character Set, Language Support, Character Map and Open Type Features sections show its coverage. Feature information also appears in the PDF specimen with corresponding CSS settings, including stylistic-set codes such as ss01.
Optimo supplies self-hosted webfonts for use through CSS @font-face. Desktop files are OpenType and work on Mac and Windows. Specialist TrueType files with manual screen adjustments require a request, additional time and a fee.
Bold and italic buttons work automatically only in families with style linking enabled. For the others, select the intended weight or italic from the font menu. Account-delivered trials have limited characters and kerning and may be used only for internal evaluation or pitching.
