What it does
Ora2Pg scans supported Oracle or MySQL databases and extracts structure or data into SQL scripts for PostgreSQL. It provides a dedicated open-source migration toolkit.
Set the source and export type in ora2pg.conf, optionally filtering/renaming tables or columns and selecting rows with per-table WHERE clauses. CLI options override configuration; output defaults to output.sql in the working directory or a chosen file/base directory. An input-file route converts Oracle PL/SQL without opening an Oracle connection. Database exports use client/driver prerequisites and configurable extraction/parallel settings; the documented 10,000-tuple limit is an in-memory writing batch, not a database-size cap. Ora2Pg is the GPLv3 toolkit; HexaRocket is a separate commercial migration platform.
