What it does
Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM connects employee records with HR processes across the organization. Its Journeys tools organize tasks for onboarding and other employee events, including required actions, target dates and supporting documents. The HCM Base service includes Journeys, while recruiting and other products have their own service definitions.
Oracle Journeys lets HR teams create tasks in a journey template or keep reusable tasks in a library. In Setup and Maintenance, open Checklist Templates to manage them. Set a task Active when it is ready, choose whether it is required and give it a target duration so overdue work can be identified. Sequence controls display order; it does not force people to complete tasks in that order.
HCM Base includes core HR, Journeys and onboarding, benefits, absence management and workforce information. The service definition provides a production environment and a separate staging environment; additional environments carry extra fees. Recruiting and other optional products have separate purchase specifications.
Oracle sells the suite through cloud-service subscriptions. Use the HCM sales contact to establish the products, employee quantities and contract for the deployment. The employer provisions application user accounts and assigns their roles.
