What it does
Orchid offers a decentralized VPN protocol and client workflow funded through its nanopayment account system.
Orchid uses a funded-account model instead of a conventional all-you-can-use monthly VPN subscription. Its official site describes token-funded accounts sending small payments for service and a pay-as-you-go VPN protocol. That changes the setup: understand account funding and the selected providers before expecting a one-click flat-rate service. The site also discusses combining Orchid with another VPN, which is a configuration choice to study in its documentation rather than a general anonymity guarantee.
Orchid's mobile-app policy describes traffic activity information stored locally on your device, potentially including addresses, ports, protocol and connection times. It says Orchid Technologies does not collect that information and that clearing it in the app deletes the stored copy. This statement is scoped to its iOS and Android apps; app-store and selected-provider relationships still need their own terms.
