What it does
OverTheWire offers security wargames covering Unix basics, web security, cryptography, reverse engineering and binary exploitation.
The suggested order makes Bandit a clear starting point for Unix and Linux basics. Later wargames address more specialized security topics. Read the selected game's instructions before starting because shell games use different SSH ports. The value is a progression of practical puzzles; it does not provide the same format as a recorded lecture course.
