What it does
P22 Type Foundry publishes original fonts and historic revivals. Its site brings together P22, Hamilton Wood Type and Lanston collections, with designer credits and family pages.
P22 brings together its own original designs and revivals, the Hamilton Wood Type collection and Lanston Type Company. Family pages credit the designers and explain their historical models. Cigno, for example, pairs a digitisation of Aldo Novarese's script with Colin Kahn's lighter companion. Its page lets you compare both styles, adjust size and spacing, and inspect characters and OpenType features.
Choose a licence before adding styles or a family package to the cart. Desktop is priced by users; web and app licences are yearly subscriptions, measured by page views and app titles respectively. A web licence covers one domain and its subdomains. Standard desktop rights cover locally installed fonts, but uploading files to Canva, Figma or shared cloud storage needs a separate arrangement. Contact P22 for trial files for internal mockups or client pitches.
