What it does

Packaroo links artwork on a dieline, the flat cutting and folding template, to a 3D packaging preview. It exports a spec pack containing artwork, a full-size dieline, rendered views and production references. A lasting free plan provides watermarked previews; spec packs are paid.

Place artwork within the marked safe areas and bleed, set the package dimensions and spin the 3D proof to inspect its panels. Shared proofs support client review; paid access adds comments, approvals and clean renders.

A spec pack includes artwork on the dieline, a full-size cut-and-crease drawing, four rendered views, a specification sheet and a prepress report. It also carries print-colour information and separate finish plates where used, such as foil or spot gloss.

Plan Price in AUD Spec-pack allowance
Free No subscription; AUD 15 per pack Buy each pack at export
Pro AUD 35 per month 5 packs a month
Pro Max AUD 79 per month 20 packs a month
Volume Custom pricing More than 20 packs a month

Tax is added where applicable.

The free plan keeps renders watermarked and limits their size. Monthly pack allowances do not roll over. Changing a design and generating a new spec pack uses another export; downloading a pack already generated is free, including after cancellation.

You own the designs and can use them commercially. Take the pack to your own supplier, or request production through Packaroo. The supplier still needs to confirm its material, tooling and finishing requirements.

Strengths

  • Preview and production-reference files are connected to the same design.
  • A single spec pack can be purchased without a recurring subscription.

Watch out for

  • Free renders are watermarked and size-capped.
  • Revised designs use another spec-pack export, and monthly allowances do not roll over.

Best for

  • Designers handing packaging concepts to a chosen supplier
