What it does

PAC, the PDF Accessibility Checker, checks many PDF/UA and WCAG requirements. It provides summaries, detailed reports, and screen-reader and structure previews.

Drop a PDF into PAC, inspect the error report, then use the structure and screen-reader previews to assess meaning and reading order. Its 2026 AI checks run locally according to the vendor, but do not verify alternative-text correctness, reading order or individual table/list items. Green technical checks therefore leave manual work. PAC 2026.1 targets Windows 10/11 with .NET 4.8+. It has no CLI batch interface; organisational MSI rollout has separate approval terms.
