What it does
The International Palm Society connects palm enthusiasts through its journal, events, conservation work and PalmTalk community. Its resources include recorded webinars and a journal archive.
A palm suited to one garden may be a poor candidate for another, so begin with a named plant and the growing conditions you need to investigate. PalmTalk provides a community route for that research, including members' gardens and growing questions. The society's journal and recorded webinars serve a more structured learning interest, while conservation stories explain the plants' wider context. Choose the resource according to whether the immediate task is cultivation, identification or background reading. Travel stories and event information can inspire further interest, but they are separate from choosing a palm for the space you have.
