What it does
Passepartout supports OpenVPN and WireGuard, on-demand connection rules, DNS overrides and custom routing on Apple platforms.
Passepartout is a client for managing VPN connections within an Apple-device workflow. Its feature list includes on-demand rules, DNS and HTTP-proxy overrides, custom routes and Shortcuts support. Those controls are useful when the desired behavior depends on the network or the task rather than a manual connect button.
The standalone Mac distribution is currently limited to free features, according to the official page. Compare that route with the App Store version before deciding how to install it. You supply the VPN configuration or service; the client itself is not an exit provider.
