What it does
Passbolt is an open-source credential manager for teams, with on-premises and Passbolt Cloud deployment options.
Passbolt organizes shared credentials for teams, with hosted and self-hosted deployment choices. User accounts and groups control access to the team’s records; operating a self-hosted instance also makes the organization responsible for its service.
A new browser or computer needs more than an account email. The official guide requires a valid account, the recovery kit containing its private key, and the remembered passphrase. The ordinary route starts at the instance’s /recover page, follows an emailed link, imports the private key and unlocks it with the passphrase. Losing the kit or passphrase requires the separately configured account-recovery program; the ordinary email link does not replace those keys.
