What it does
PatternPad creates graphical patterns from adjustable shapes, colours and style settings. It includes ready-made colour palettes and exports PNG, JPG or SVG. The tool is free, with commercial reuse allowed when the result credits and links to PatternPad.
Choose a style, then vary its shapes and colours to build a pattern for a presentation or branded graphic. Supplied palettes provide a starting point when the colour scheme is still open. SVG gives you a vector file for further editing; PNG and JPG suit fixed image placement.
Plan the credit alongside the design. PatternPad allows commercial adaptations with a linked acknowledgement, but prohibits reselling the artwork itself. That restriction matters if the intended deliverable is a downloadable pattern product.
