What it does

PayTabs combines merchant payment processing and digital invoicing with a separate payment-orchestration platform for banks and larger businesses. Small merchants can also use its Paymes SuperApp. The merchant gateway supports several Middle Eastern markets, with country-specific onboarding, pricing and settlement arrangements.

PayTabs distinguishes merchant collection from the broader routing and platform work handled by its orchestration product. Its merchant onboarding guide lists the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman, Jordan, Iraq and Kuwait.

For an invoice, open Invoice in the merchant dashboard and choose the plus button. Select a one-time Standard invoice or a reusable Template, set the language and decide whether later edits will be allowed. Add the items, prices, discounts or tax, then save or send the invoice. A Standard link stops working after payment; a Template can be reused until its expiry. Choosing to prevent editing cannot be reversed after saving.

Recurring invoices require an API, SDK or plugin integration. They cannot be scheduled as recurring payments solely through the dashboard.

Saudi product pricing

Product Published charging basis
Payment Gateway platform SAR 999 setup, SAR 199 per month and SAR 1 per transaction
Paymes SuperApp SAR 49 per month; SoftPOS adds SAR 20 per month
Payment Orchestration Contact sales for the proposed platform and services

The gateway figures are platform fees in the Saudi agreement, excluding VAT. Its Shopify Apple Pay option adds SAR 200 per month. The separately advertised SuperApp rates are 1% for mada and 2.25% + SAR 1 for credit cards; PayTabs labels those SuperApp prices as a testing-phase offer subject to change.

Gateway onboarding gathers company, bank and ownership information, with verification documents determined by country. For example, Saudi merchants provide owner identity, a trade licence and a bank certificate; multi-owner firms also provide company-constitution documents.

Settlement visibility depends on the account type. Live Aggregation accounts have an Accounts tab showing pending funds, reserves, fees and payout history. Accounts settled directly by a banking partner do not use that tab. For an Aggregation payout, its Merchant Statement links the deposit to the underlying transactions, fees and taxes.

Strengths

  • Merchant offering includes digital invoicing and recurring billing
  • Reusable invoice templates can retain a payment link for repeated use
  • Aggregation payout statements connect bank deposits with transactions and deductions

Watch out for

  • Recurring invoice collection requires an integration rather than dashboard-only setup
  • Disabling later invoice edits is an irreversible setting for that invoice

Best for

  • Businesses comparing merchant tools with payment orchestration
  • Merchants in supported regional markets sending itemized payment invoices
