What it does
Paytm Payment Gateway gives businesses website and mobile checkout, payment links and recurring-collection options. Customers can pay through enabled cards, Unified Payments Interface (UPI), net banking and other supported methods. The Standard offer charges a 1.99% platform fee plus GST, with custom Enterprise pricing and no setup or annual maintenance charge.
Choose the link type to match the request:
| Link type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Generic | Collect varying amounts from multiple customers |
| Fixed Amount | Reuse a specified payment amount |
| Payment Page | Collect extra customer information |
| Invoice Link | Show an itemized bill |
Create the link in the merchant dashboard, or use the programming interface (API) to generate it from an application. Supplying the customer's email or phone number enables automatic delivery. Available methods depend on the merchant account. Developers can receive payment notifications at a callback address and retrieve the payments made against each link.
Create a merchant account before connecting the gateway. The dashboard offers Test Mode for integration work. Live credentials appear after verification and activation; Developer Settings > API keys distinguishes the test setup, while Production API Details provides the live merchant ID and key.
Standard pricing is a 1.99% platform fee on transactions, plus 18% GST on the charge. Enterprise terms are quoted separately.
Settlement follows the merchant agreement. The documentation describes an ordinary daily bank transfer, generally on the next working day, and separate same-day arrangements. For an enabled on-demand account, Settlements > Transfer to Bank initiates a transfer from the available balance. This is a manual action and may carry a withdrawal fee; it should not be assumed to be included in every account.
