What it does

PDAX lets eligible users in the Philippines buy and sell crypto using Philippine pesos. It supports bank and e-wallet funding, price-based limit orders and withdrawals to local payment partners. Opening an account requires identity checks; the wider PDAX site also has separate bond and institutional services.

Opening an account

PDAX requires applicants to be at least 18, have legal capacity and fall outside its restricted jurisdictions. Verification includes a personal-information form, a current government ID and a biometric check. Support may request further documents. Foreign residents must provide an Alien Certificate of Registration and an accepted ID, such as their passport.

PDAX says its accounts are not bank accounts and have no government insurance. Crypto values can change rapidly and may fall to zero.

Setting a limit price

After signing in, open Trade, choose a cryptocurrency and select Limit. Choose buying or selling, enter the limit price and use Place Order. PDAX constrains buy limits to the current market price or below and sell limits to that price or above, within the range allowed for each token.

The Orders button shows pending orders. Trade History shows past activity, and swiping left cancels an existing limit order. A price target can stay unfilled if the market never reaches it.

Moving pesos back out

In the app, open Portfolio, then Cash Out. Choose Banks & E-wallets or the over-the-counter channel, select the payment partner and enter the requested details. Review the transfer and confirm with the code sent by email.

PDAX lists InstaPay cash-outs at PHP15, with a PHP50,000 maximum per transfer. PESONet costs PHP10 and lists one to three banking days. Funding charges depend on the route; the fees page lists online bank transfer as free while bank or e-wallet apps may impose their own costs. Crypto withdrawal fees vary with the asset and network and appear before confirmation. Check the trade quotation separately from these transfer charges.
