What it does
pdfcpu provides commands for PDF validation, optimization, merging, splitting, page geometry, watermarks, forms, and document resources.
Use pdfcpu's command groups to choose a page, resource or form operation instead of treating every PDF change as a conversion. Booklet commands accept PDF or image inputs, bookmarks/forms use JSON, and extraction writes resources to an output directory. For optimisation, specify a separate output filename and optionally collect CSV statistics. The Optimize page's argument table and example disagree on what happens when the output name is omitted, so avoid relying on that default.
Strengths
- Offers a broad set of explicit commands for repeatable processing.
Best for
- Scripted PDF page and resource operations
