What it does
PDFix Desktop combines automatic tagging, manual structure repairs, templates, and PDF/UA validation. Desktop editions are offered for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Start with generated tags, repair the table/heading/alt-text structure, then validate and export the report. JSON layout templates reuse rules for recurring documents, with batch and command-line work in Enterprise. Lite is a permanent free checker without registration; Pro adds remediation. AI Actions can use local or cloud processors, so check the selected action before treating a workflow as local. The vendor still requires human checks for full document accessibility.
