What it does
Peach Bitcoin matches buyers and sellers directly. Its desktop order book pairs with the mobile app, where account keys stay and sensitive trade actions are confirmed.
Peach's desktop workspace is useful when comparing Bitcoin offers by currency, payment method and seller premium. The phone remains essential: it holds the local account and keys, and confirms sensitive actions. Peach advertises no registration, but you still create that mobile account and should back it up before trading.
Open web.peachbitcoin.com on your computer. On the phone, choose Connect to desktop, found in Settings on Android, and scan the browser's QR code. The browser can display offers and manage trades; it does not replace the phone's signing role. Closing the window ends the browser session.
In Market, open Buy and compare the amount, premium and trader reputation. Open an offer to see its full conditions before requesting a trade. Payments is where you add your payment details, and a matching method is required. Several requests can be pending, but the first accepted request cancels the others. An instant offer starts the trade immediately and requires payment within one hour, so have the agreed payment method ready.
The buyer pays a 2% Peach fee, deducted from the Bitcoin received, alongside Bitcoin network costs. A seller's premium also changes the effective purchase price. The local-currency payment goes directly to the other trader. Escrow and a reputation score do not eliminate payment disputes, and Bitcoin can lose value after purchase.
Peach requires users to be at least 18 and payment methods to belong to the account holder. Its exclusions cover the United States, China and a longer list of countries and sanctioned regions. For the European Union and European Economic Area, Peach describes access only when the user approaches it entirely on their own initiative, without prior solicitation, and reserves the right to restrict access. Check these conditions before arranging payment.
Normal unregistered trading is capped at CHF1,000 per day and CHF100,000 per year; the terms set a CHF1,000 monthly limit for peer-to-peer payment methods. Higher-volume sellers can ask about identity verification, while buyers cannot currently increase their limit.
